Our daughter was working in Spain in the autumn of 2023 and we were visiting her. There were mosquito bites everywhere and her skin was badly broken as a result. The local laundry detergents, with their chemicals, made the skin worse and we set out in earnest to find a skin-friendly laundry detergent. The task was not easy, but at last in a small general store we spotted Marseille laundry detergent, which turned out to be absolutely wonderful in use.
Best of all, even severely atopic skin liked this detergent.
There was no entirely equivalent product on the Finnish market and we were already considering posting a large package of detergent home. During the trip, however, we learned a little more about the secrets of laundry detergent and realised that it can be made in an ordinary home kitchen. We bought the first raw materials in southern France and began experimenting enthusiastically as soon as we got home. None of the recipes online seemed perfect as they were, so we developed it a little ourselves. Over the year the development has gone quite a bit further.
In short: since October 2023 we have washed all our laundry with our own detergent. Only with the whites do we sometimes add a brightener. Clothes and people are doing better now!
